Firefighters called to New Lanark kitchen blaze

Firefighters were called to a kitchen blaze in New Lanark.

Crews from Lanark were mobilised to the fire in Braxfield Terrace at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, January 31

The fire crews, wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a positive-pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the blaze.

The owner of the property was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by Ambulance Service staff.
