Murder inquiry launched in Lanark
16 DecemberStrathclyde Police have launched a murder inquiry after the body of a 25 year old man was discovered in Smylum Park.
Graeme Melville was found dead by police called to an address in Smylum Road at 4am on Thursday December 15.
Detectives have set up a mobile office in Smylum Park, and have been examining the scene and conducting enquiries across the area. Anyone who may have seen Mr Melville on Wednesday evening or the early hours of Thursday morning have been urged get in touch.
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Raphael said: "This is a terrible crime. The loss of this young man's life has left his family and his friends absolutely devastated. It is imperative that we track down and bring to justice whoever is responsible.”
